Justin Keane: Owner, Head Trainer

Justin Keane
Buoyed and inspired by my experiences training within the CrossFit methodology under the expert tutelage of CrossFit Boston’s Neal Thompson and Again Faster’s Jon Gilson, I founded Woodshed Fitness in 2009 with the intention of building a likeminded and inclusive gym community in the Acton, Concord, and Littleton areas–a team dedicated to the unwavering pursuit of fitness, nutrition, and results. I’m a CrossFit Level 1, CrossFit Nutrition, and CrossFit Olympic Weighlifting Certified Trainer with over 15 years of athletic experience within various programming modalities: bodybuilding routines to boot camps, heavy squats to spin classes, hill sprints to morning distance work. I firmly believe that strength training and a considered conditioning protocol charts the most effective path towards optimal physical fitness at any age, I look forward to helping you realize your goals.

Jamie Paul
I have been training my own strength and conditioning since my freshman year of college, though I initially viewed it as an annoying and timely obligation during the off seasons for my softball career. Since then, I’ve taken a much more active role in my health and have attempted many different approaches along the way. Like many, I suffered from the “Freshman 20” (that’s a real thing, right?) and spent the next four years trying different physical and nutritional approaches to weight loss, including counting calories, running endless miles, interval training, “functional” ab work, intermittent fasting, near-vegetarianism, and yoga. Some things worked for me, some things did not, but it was a lot of trial and error. Upon graduating from Bowdoin College, I had a wonderful opportunity to be a part of opening a franchise gym called “Anytime Fitness,” and to become a Certified Personal Trainer. I love being able to use my experiences and knowledge to help others navigate the waters and find what works best for them. Of all my fitness experiments, CrossFit is the one that has stuck – mentally and physically, I can’t speak highly enough of the results I’ve seen and the experiences I’ve had training (and being trained) at CrossFit Woodshed.
