“Woodshed was my first experience with CrossFit and I highly recommend it. Rather than isolating singular muscles, CrossFit works on your whole body and building strength in ways that will actually help you in daily life. Example- Lifting a heavy object off the floor and carrying it a long distance. This is practical strength. Justin Keane (Woodshed founder) is an amazing trainer, and will quickly become someone you consider a friend. Workouts typically take place in small classes, but Justin also offers private training at a very affordable rate. Ive been attending Saturday morning weight lifting classes for several months and really enjoy the teamwork, laughs, and hard work. All sorts of people with differing goals attend workouts together and everyone of them feels challenged and everyone of them feels a sense of accomplishment at the end of the workout. “I started working out with Justin with a friend who wanted to try one of his classes. I didn’t have any expectations but to try it for a few weeks. My usual workout routine comprised of lifting weights for 35 minutes, doing cardio for 45+ minutes and/or running for an hour. I have to admit that when I first started the CrossFit program, I was a bit skeptical. I remember thinking, “How could small bursts of high intensity exercises for only one hour make a difference?” It is now six months later and I love it!
